O’Toole Transports Dublin Depot achieves BRC Accreditation

Commenting on the company’s success General manager Richard McNamara said “The BRC certification is the validation of our long-term commitment to providing the highest quality food safety standards through the supply chain solutions we offer. A growing number of retail and food service companies in Europe require this independent certification .”

Originally introduced in 2006 the Global Standard for Storage and Distribution provides the essential certification link between the range of BRC manufacturing Standards and the end user, the retailer and the food service company. BRC has been recognized internationally as the leader in food safety certification. As a member of the GFSI the BRC is committed to continuous improvement of its food safety standard and requires the same continuous improvement from the distribution centers they certify.

Laurence O Toole, Managing Director explains the company’s rationale in seeking the certification, “Globally recognized certification such as BRC helps us to ensure that our distribution centers and food safety practices are meeting the best possible standards and provide valuable third-party recognition of our commitment to our customers.”

O Toole Transport was founded in 1996, and operates a fleet of 65 vehicles from three distribution centers in Galway, Dublin and Waterford. The Galway depot first achieved BRC Accreditation in 2012.
