O’Toole Transport, based in Moycullen, has secured the prestigious Fleet Transport Irish Haulier of the Year Award 2026, sponsored by Rosslare Europort. The esteemed title was announced at a Gala Banquet held on Thursday, October 16th, at the Johnstown Estate Hotel in County Meath.
This marks the second time the family-owned company has received this ultimate accolade, having previously been honoured as the Irish Haulier of the Year for 2015, fittingly just ahead of their 30th year in business.
The award recognises O’Toole Transport’s continuous investment and expansion both nationally and internationally, and its trustworthy reputation built upon high standards and strong relationships with a leading brand customer base.
Earlier in the evening, O’Toole Transport also scooped the highly competitive Refrigerated Transport Specialist (International/National) category, sponsored by Thermo King.
Laurence O’Toole, Managing Director, expressed his delight upon receiving the overall prize, widely regarded as the most prestigious honour in the Irish road transport industry.
“We are absolutely buzzing, we had a fantastic night, as we scooped the Refrigerated Transport Specialist (International/National) Award and the overall Irish Haulier of the Year Award 2026. It’s a fitting end to what has been a difficult year for the O’Toole family, having lost our beautiful mother Angela suddenly in the summer. Her work in helping set up the company in 1996 will never be forgotten, and we dedicate this award in recognition of her contributions. A big thanks to our people in Galway, Dublin, Glasgow and Liverpool.
Next year will mark 30 years of O’Toole Transport; we will celebrate it as a proud family business.”
Jarlath Sweeney, Group Editor of Fleet Publications, praised the company’s achievement:
“Sincere congratulations to O’Toole Transport, once again deserved winners. The high standards they have created and maintained throughout their operations, both at home and abroad, are noteworthy. They are true ambassadors for the Irish road transport industry.”
The Irish Haulier of the Year competition promotes and rewards best practice across the Irish road transport industry, with finalists shortlisted from around the country.
